What we believe
- A standard has to be open: free to take, with scoring anyone can check.
- Your answers about yourself belong to you, so the test runs on your device.
- A standard earns its place in public: the ICA's accuracy is currently being studied, and every stage is published.
- No profile is better than another.
- No fake reviews, countdowns or invented scarcity.
How the ICA is built
The ICA has 40 items, five in each of eight areas of life: daily orientation, problem-solving, social interaction, learning, decision-making, stress response, creative expression and relationships. Each item offers four responses, one for each dimension, and you choose the one you would actually do.
The scoring is published in full on how it works, so anyone can check how a result was reached. The test runs entirely in your browser and makes no network requests while you answer.

Take the free testOur standards for claims
- Facts about other products come from their own pages and carry the date we checked them.
- Historical and research claims link to their sources, across analytical psychology, behavioral science and neuroscience.
- Research findings are reported as each stage of the study is published.
- Results describe preferences; we never use them to infer health or ability.
- When we cannot support a claim, we leave it out.
Where it is going
The ICA is currently being studied in three stages: a pilot, a validation study and norming. Findings are published on the research page as each stage completes. Read how the ICA is being built as a standard.
