Free personality test
Forty situations, four ways to respond. Choose what you would actually do, not what you think you should do. Your answers are scored in your browser and never sent anywhere.
Before you start
Take about 15 uninterrupted minutes. For each situation, pick the response that comes most automatically. If two feel equally natural, choose the one that takes less effort. If none feels natural, choose the least foreign.
The ICA is a behavioral-preference assessment, and its accuracy is currently being studied. It is not a clinical, medical or diagnostic test, does not measure intelligence or cognitive ability, and does not screen for dementia or any other condition. Use it as one input in decisions such as hiring, never as the sole basis for a consequential decision.
What you get, free

- Your profile, one of 24

Want the full interpretation? The premium report ($48) adds your growth practice, stress pattern, faculty balance and a 30-day guide.
How your answers are scored
A counts toward Integrative Synthesis, B toward Systematic Analysis, C toward Social Attunement and D toward Environmental Engagement. The four counts always total 40. See how the ICA works for every step.
Prefer to take it offline?
Get the ICA as a single file that runs in any modern browser without an internet connection. A short form asks for your email address; a few research questions are optional. When you submit, the download starts.
Opening the file
- Submit the short form. The file downloads.
- Tap or double-click the downloaded file. It opens in your browser.
- The test starts on its own screen. Results save in that browser.
On iPhone and iPad, open the file from the Files app; it opens in Safari. On Android, open it from Downloads with Chrome.
Common questions
Where are my answers stored?
In your browser. The online test scores your answers on your device and keeps your history in your browser's local storage. Nothing you answer is sent to us.
Does it work in private browsing?
Yes, but your browser deletes local storage when you close a private window, so your saved results will not survive. Export them before you close.
Can I compare my scores with someone else's?
Not directly. Because your four scores always add to 40, they describe the balance of your own preferences, not how much of each you have compared with other people. Someone else's 22 is not the same as your 22.
Is the ICA related to the "Integrated Cognitive Assessment" dementia test?
No. A different organization, Cognetivity Neurosciences, sells a medical screening test for cognitive impairment under the same name, Integrated Cognitive Assessment (ICA) (overview). ICAPsychometrics is not connected to it. The ICA does not measure memory, attention or any cognitive ability, and it cannot screen for dementia. If you are worried about memory or thinking, speak to a doctor.
