What the credential is
A private credential issued by ICAPsychometrics showing competence in administering and interpreting the ICA. It is not a state license or a professional certification, and it does not qualify anyone to provide psychological evaluation or diagnosis.
How it compares on price
Public MBTI® certification is listed at $2,995 per person for four days of instructor-led training (The Myers-Briggs Company, accessed 13 October 2026). ICA certification is self-paced and costs $1,998. The two credentials cover different instruments.
Common questions
Is the certification a professional qualification?
No. It is a private credential issued by ICAPsychometrics. It is not a state license or professional certification and does not qualify anyone to provide psychological evaluation.
Can I upgrade from the license to certification?
Yes, for $1,000: the certification price minus the license price.
How long does certification take?
About 3.5 hours of advanced modules on top of the license's 2.5 hours, plus the 90-minute examination. Everything is self-paced.
